QuickBooks Online integration is available for Teams & Enterprise customers.
Overview
The QuickBooks Online integration allows you to simplify your accounting processes. We will automatically sync payments, refunds, credit notes, and invoices directly from Practice to your QuickBooks Online account.
Please note: This is a one-way sync from Practice to QuickBooks. Updates made in QuickBooks will not sync back to Practice.
Setting up the integration
Click on Menu > Settings
Click on Connect
Connect your QBO account (should be the account aligned with your Stripe account).
Once you do that, you need to set up the account mapping:
Integration Settings:
- We are using the email address in Practice to look up The client in QuickBooks. If you have an existing client in QuickBooks and the email matches, it should align. We will always create a new client in QuickBooks if we can't find the current client.
- The sync is a 1-way sync from Practice > QuickBooks. If you create a new contact in QuickBooks it will *not* create a new contact in Practice.
Refund Settings:
- You can choose to record a refund as a Refund Receipt, Expense, or both.
Package Mapping:
- We are pulling from the accounts you already have set up in QuickBooks for the Debit and Credit section.
- You can specify the mapping on 3 levels:
1. Create a default package mapping. It will apply to all packages, and map them to the same debit and credit accounts globally. Everything will default to this unless overridden.
2. You can map on a package by package basis to a separate debit and credit account.
3. For the most granular mapping, you can map based on the type of payment plan. One-time payment or split payment.
These sync in real time and send the information directly to QuickBooks. Once this is set up, it is really set it and forget it.
