Product:
A product is used to set the price for an individual item and has the option to be attached to a scheduler to book a time.
Two examples include:
1. Monthly subscription - a monthly subscription product can be billed to a customer without being required to attach a scheduler to it to book time slots
2. Weekly session - a weekly session that is scheduled each week and paid for each week
Products give you the flexibility to collect payments and with the option of charging for your time per session or to collect a regular payment.
Package:
A package is used for a set of sessions that are paid for in advance and the sessions are booked in advance.
Two examples include:
1. 10-pack of swimming lessons - the pack is bought in advance and during the purchase, the customer has the ability to schedule all of the sessions at one time
2. 4-pack of project support - a coach is offering 4 sessions to help a client work through a project. During the purchase of the package, the client has the ability to schedule all 4 sessions at one time.
Packages are great for programs that require a set number of sessions in order to reach the outcome.
