Text fields used within forms can be connected to Custom Fields in your Practice account. This is a great way to avoid having to copy & paste in the case that you'd like to pull an answer from a form field to a custom field.
In sequence, follow these steps:
- Create a custom field
- Create (or edit) a form template
- Add a new question in your form using Custom Field
Create a custom field
In your client template, create a text-only custom field. To do this, navigate to your client template: https://practice.do/contacts/template
Create (or edit) a form template

Add a new question in your form
Once your text field is created, head over to a new or existing form template. Once you're there, you'll see an option on the question types to select a custom field:
Once selected, add in your question type and select the custom field that you would like to automatically update upon a submitted form:
Once linked, click Add to add this question to your form! Once all of your questions are finished, you're good to go and you can share the form with any of your clients!
